Review from Sunday’s Concert

Choir SanDra and their guests held a sweet and emotional concert yesterday night.

All you need is love – One of the world’s most famous songs – was the name of both the concert and the opening number, and it sat the tune for the concert, played in a sold-out venue yesterday night. It is a lot of pain and romance in love, but also deep emotions and euphemism.

Everything was clearly performed in a concert of high quality, but with certain tops that it worth mentioning. Talented Choir SanDra ¬†with voices as clear as glass and Mikkel Gythfeldt held a fantastic show with “Rum Tom Tapper”. Dressed in cat costumes this was a musical theatre number of high class, with a deadly, sexy cat with kittens dancing around him.

A firework of an artist

Choir SanDra’s own Monica Sik Holm travelled from Liverpool and shown what kind of talented musical theatre performer she is. Her song “Bill and me” was a firework of a song, combined with Monica’s expressions and acting choices as accompaniment.

Alexander Langset voice suited the love songs perfectly.

- Choir SanDra is 20 years in 2012, and this is our introduction to an exciting year, says conductor Camilla Ossum.

With them on stage as a solid accompaniment, Choir SanDra had Trang Trio with MD Andre Storeng and Madeleine Ossum on violin, also alone in an expressive Irish folk song. It was also nice to hear the small girls in Strettolino sing the serious “Mitt hjerte er ditt”.
